Paysafe Customer Management

A platform that allows merchants to store, edit and view important information about their customers. This is a part of the Paysafe Merchant Center.

Introduction

The Paysafe Merchant Center provides business owners important statistics and allows them to make and accept payments with ease. It also allows users to store customer information enabling super-fast transitions for many customers and keeping a record of who purchased what from their stores or platforms. I was responsible for designing the Customer Management page for our portal during my time at Paysafe. I was involved from the very beginning i.e from collecting details from PMs to delivery to interaction developers.

Learning from Competitors

We had a lot to learn from what others are doing to manage a similar. I collected screenshots from platforms including Stripe, RazorPay, Square, etc. I noted how one views, creates, and edits contacts. Non-competing platforms were also taken into consideration to understand how things are being handled.

Strengths

  1. Allows users to store multiple types of information.

  2. Everything can be easily edited from the specific customer page.

  3. Similar actions can be performed for listed items through selection by checkboxes.

  4. Less frequently used details are tucked away in the “More Options” dropdown.

Weaknesses

  1. Very little information is available at the list view.

  2. Multiple addresses cannot be added while creating the contact.

  3. When payments made by the users are multiple a lot of scroll gets involved to reach the other information.

Other Platforms analized include RazorPay and Square.

Conclusion

Customer Management was the first project I handled from concept to delivery. The project was developed and added to the Merchant Portal. This was a great learning experience as I got to interact with various stakeholders to design something consistent with our system that would fit right in with the needs of the users. I wish to see merchants across the globe using this platform and observe how my designs help them out.
